John Nowobilski has been an outstanding member of the PGA for more than 25 years and is one of Connecticut's most-respected professionals. John was named 1997 Connecticut Section PGA Teacher of the Year, and was the Section's Professional of the Year in 1986. Since 2000, he has been named by Golf Digest as one of the top teaching professionals in New England. John starred at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in New Britain and was the first Central Connecticut State University golfer to win All-American honors.

His collegiate career includes the New England Intercollegiate Championship and a 19th place finish at the NCAA Championships. He's the only player to ever qualify as both an amateur and professional for the Greater Hartford Open. John has played in numerous marathon golf events to raise money for local charities, setting a world record in 1989 by playing 536 holes in 24 hours. In 1987, he won the Connecticut Section PGA Horton Smith Award for outstanding promotion of the game of golf. He was awarded the 1998 Public Merchandiser of the Year by his peers.

John has worked with some of the most influential teachers in the game, such as Bob Toski, Peggy Kirk Bell, Fred Shoemaker and Roy Pace. His candid, lighthearted approach partnered with his knowledge of golf swing fundamentals makes learning fun and rewarding. John has been named as one of the country's top teachers by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.

Instruction programs and rates



Regular Golf Instructional Packages
  • Individual Instruction (All hour-long lessons are video analyzed):

    $80 -- Hour Lesson
    $45 -- Half-hour Lesson
    $25 -- Mini 15-minute Video Analysis

  • Lesson Series:

    $220 -- Three one-hour sessions

  • Playing Lesson.

    Four holes, $80 (approximately 1 hour); nine holes, $160; 18 holes, $250.

  • 1-Day Golf School.

    An Individual One-on-One Day School, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    Includes: Instruction on full sring, putting, chipping, sand play, PLUS lunch AND 9-hole playing lesson. That's 6 hours of instruction for only $425.
