I played Oxford on July 3. What a great course! This is truly a hidden gem. The weekday price of $65 is well worth it. It is a very well maintained course (bunkers could use some extra sand) and has an excellent staff. From the bag boys and waitress to the starter and restaurant manager, all were friendly and willing to make my experience there the best it could be. The course is beautiful. A bit tight for those who grip it and rip it and then hunt for it. Most holes are 100 yards wide at max. Tall grass and trees will eat up wayward shots. Not much water to deal with on this course, but the fairway bunkers are not a happy place to be (large lips will keep you from advancing more than a 7 or 8 iron). The greens are awesome, fast and true. One or two of them were very difficult to read and all pin placements were good spots. No grumpy greens keepers here. Two suggestions: GPS on the carts would be a great tool, and the $95 on the weekends -- come on, I want to play the course, not own it!

I played Oxford this morning and can't believe how incredible the course conditions are here. This place is, flat out, the best public course in the state, bar none.

Outstanding layout. Greens are firm, but it is a great course.
